Kelly and I met in 1997 while shooting archery in Upstate NY near Rochester, NY. She tried shooting me and I got her phone number from the arrow that I removed from my skull. I think she felt bad and we've been inseperable ever since, mainly I think its because of the pending lawsuit, but I call it love...who knows!!
In 1998 we moved to be near Kelly's brother, Randy Jones and his wife Toni and 6 wonderful kids. They accepted me into the family despite my mullet. Randy plays in the worship band and is my hero!!
In 2001, my dream came true and I married my beautiful bride on Randy and Toni's front porch. I've always wanted to marry somebody on a porch!! hahaha. OUCH...sorry honey....remove that arrow now!!
In 2003, at the tender age of 44, Kelly gave birth to her first and our little miracle kid Hunter Jay Acheson. He is now 5 and is very lovable and learning to love the Lord, as we do. He's a cute redhead just like his mama.
We lived in Morgantown from 1998 to 2005 moved to NC where we thought we needed to be and saw that it wasn't, and now in 2008 we're home by the grace of God, many prayers and a job back at WVU where I worked originally in the MRI Dept!!
We are very happy about being back in our home church and being back in our hometown!!!
I LOVE:
The spiritual glow I see emitting from people who love Christ, my family, the way I feel everytime my wife enters the same room I'm in, the excitment everytime I pull open the door to Chestnut Ridge Church, the way some Christian Songs speak to me, the way I feel at CRC service....the awesomeness and how connected I feel in the body of Christ while I worship God at CRC.....I also am fond of souvlaki, creamed corn and archery. I am not fond of guys named Obama, Atilla, Adolph or Darth.
I DISLIKE:
The phrase before a sentence...."To be honest with you...." Are you lying every other sentence?
I hate sin, but I love sinners. Sinners are some of my best friends and I hope they feel that way about me too!!
There's a phrase out there...."Thats about as shallow as a Born-Again Christian's smile".....I hate that phrase and what it stands for...and wish all of us here at CRC (and worldwide) could disprove that phrase to every non-believer amongst us.
Until I die and Christ makes me perfect in his kingdom, I'm just a sinner here living on earth thats saved by HIS grace. I will always dissappoint you with my human flaws, but God loves us all enough to give a path of salvation if we just accept it. Thank you God for loving mankind enough to leave the door to your kingdom open to a wretched soul like me.

- Favorite Music:
- Christian Contemporary mostly. David Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, Chris Tomlin. ****Secular stuff?....I just bought the new Cd from Colby Callais and Tim McGraw Vol 2 Greatest Hits. I like Lifehouse(I love their pseudo-Christian lyrics that don't jump out at you until you look deep into the song), Rob Thomas, Tom Petty, Live, Journey, REO....too many hair bands to talk about right now!!!
- Favorite TV Shows:
- I like Outdoor Channel, VS, Spike TV, Discovery, TRU-TV...basically anything manly!!! Throw in a hunting video I'm a drooling idiot for hours....Kelly likes Snapped, The Closer as well as LMN. Although she rarely gets to sit down to watch anything until 10pm.
- Where are you serving in the church?
- Kelly is director of Nursery and hopefully you'll see me more and more as a greeter...I LOVE handing out those brochures!! So many people to meet, so little time. Literature is my calling!!

The Chipolte [AKA SCARY SPICE] Conspiracy Theory!!
Where did Chipolte come from and why is it getting in everything?
I am 40 years old, and either I am the most unobservant person on the planet or Chipolte just dropped from outer space. One day I’m doing fine, no worries….no Chipolte around anywhere, the next thing you know every restaurant puts chipolte in every dish you want to order. Was Chipolte just approved by the FDA or something!!??

Good times with old stuff
I went Antiquing today.....
On a whim and well, I suppose I had nothing better to do with our time while our poodle got her hair cut (what a racket this is....which is fodder for another rant) we went to an antique mall. I have figured out that antiquing is really a place to ooh and ahh at how stupid we were as a population back in the early days of mechanical inventions. Is it any wonder we pick up 4 out of 5 items in an antique shop and ask "What the *beep* is this?"

Do You Like Jello?, Because I'm Autistic.....
When I first wrote this for another blog sight, it was not a "Christian" blog...but the more I wrote, the more it began transforming into one....so I am happy to post this here for your enjoyment....
