About Me:

I am a single mother of one beautiful daughter.Her name is Elizabeth and she is the light of my life! She is going on to second next year. I am raising my daughter to live a Christian life and to know God on a personal level. She is my main focus.

I just recieved my certification for Nursing Assistant. I am now in the midst of preparing myself for the LPN program at MTEC. Paperwork, physicals, vaccines, CPR/ First Aid certifications, buying books, and the list goes on.... The time is going by so fast! Just what seems weeks ago this was months away (this all started in January!) now it is only 4 weeks!

I have been a Christian for three years. My mother and father brought me to CRC when I had no direction for my life. The church was a comfortable enviornment, not pushy or overbearing. For me, at that time in my life, it was the perfect place for me to find the grace that I had been looking for.

How long have you been at the RIDGE? or another church? or what is your level of spiritual interest?

I have been attending the Ridge for a little over three years. I consider my level of spirtual interest to be high on my list of priorities! God is Awesome!

Favorite Music:

I really enjoy most music as long as it is not vulgar and can be understood. After attending the Charlie Hall and Bebo Norman concert, I am now a big fan of Charlie Hall! Bebo Norman is pretty cool too!

Favorite TV Shows:

I really like to watch the medical dramas. Pretty much anything to do with medicine I am there! The stranger the problem the better! Also the way to finding out the solution is cool! I think that is why House is high on the list of the popular medical shows in my book!

Where are you serving in the church?

I have been greeting for awhile now. I love being a smiling face to start the "Ridge" experience for people.

To which small group do you belong?

I belong to the Reugerri's small group but due to scheduling conflicts have not been able to attend.

Good News and Tough Times

I became an aunt for the first time on Sunday. A beautiful little girl, LeAnn, was born at Ruby to my step sister Tiffany. Some of you know that our family has had some struggles with the relationship she and her husband has, it is not a good one. Many of our family members compare us in relationships, saying that for Tiffany and I not to be blood we tend to have the same taste in men.

Children do the sweetest things...

A friend lent me a movie to watch a couple of weeks ago. You may have heard of it, it is in the church library, Second Chances. I sat down to watch it with my daughter one night, I thought that it would be a good learning experience. There was a part in the movie where someone was showing humbleness by washing anothers feet, like Jesus did with the disciples. A Big Day!!

Today I am graduating from the Certified Nursing Assistant Program!! It hardly seems that the time has come for the program to be over. Not meaning that I do not feel that I am not prepared to be a CNA, totally the opposite I am quite prepared. I leave for the ceremony in about an hour. On June 5, I will start my pre-classes for the LPN program that starts in August. Good News!!

Off the subject of the last two blogs but this one was busting out of me!!! Today I got my official acceptance letter to MTEC for the LPN program!!! Everything is going so well for me right now and it just keeps getting better!! Today I started my clinicals for the CNA training and June 9th I will be taking the certification test to be an official CNA. God is Awesome!!! I am so happy!!
