This is a new group at the Ridge. We are exploring ways to serve God--at CRC, in Morgantown, in West Virginia and beyond. BTW, L.Y.N. stands for "Love your neighbor."

Hi Diane,

Things are finally starting to calm down. I was a it overwhelmed after quitting work. It's been tough trying to find a rhythm at home. I finally think I'm getting closer to some sanity around here. I would love to meet up with you at So.Zo some time. Let me know if you're free anytime soon.

God bless. Ivy

Hola! Yes you have inspired me! I want to make creme brulee because I was just talking about that today in play practice with Adam (he is Zeke who is a guy who loves to bake and in the play he bakes creme brulee) I have to see if I have the ingredients or not...Yes I have signed up for the passion make-up!!! I won't be able to do it until march 10-16 though, because the musical is March ?-9... So that way I can do it! I'm also gonna be a greeter...:)
Logan isn't well...:( He went to the doctors and mom says, and I quote "has tonsilitis". He usually doesn't get this sick...the occasional cold, but nothing like this. :(

Thanks for holding back those beads! I'll try to find you on Sunday to get you the money. And then I'll still have a couple of days to make some Christmas gifts with them! Have a great day!

Thanks! I look forward to hearing more about it.

I am coming to the November workshop. And I'm just going to bring Will with me. He's a good baby. It's a late workshop, so he'll be on his way to falling asleep anyway. I look forward to meeting you too!

(And that my friends is why I dance. And that my friends is the reason for the hope that I have.)

My favorite quote = "NEVER SAY NEVER." Having children taught me this.

The Power of Yes . . .

Decades ago Nancy Reagan coined the phrase, “Just Say No.” It has been applied in areas from sex to drugs to food and maybe even to rock ‘n roll.

Becoming

Becoming . . . This whole concept, I don’t want to call it self-actualization, that’s too new agey, the process of becoming what God made you to be, is compelling and fascinating to me. I can’t imagine why EVERYONE isn’t attempting it. Actually, I think they are. All around there is evidence of th

There's a bright yellow sun on the meadow . . .

I'm sitting here perusing a bunch of stuff I wrote last year. I just came across a thing I wrote on "The Son and The Sun." It's not bust a gut funny but it's something to think about . . .

Wasn't it Solomon who said there is nothing new under the sun? Well, speaking of the sun, I had what I like to call a revelation one day and it was about the sun

BLOGS HAVE TO BE SOOOOO SNAZZY, NOT SNOOZY!

Brain blast! I have another analogy! I'm back to that again. Are you a mom of a preschooler? Are you familiar with the series of books that started with, “If you give a moose a muffin . . .?” That’s what I’m like; I’m like one of the animals in that series of books. With me, one thing ALWAYS leads to another and the original thing

I want to be Beth Moore's personal assistant . . .

Looking back on what we have talked about, I see my writing is looking like a journaly, pop culturey kind of thing. It’s like a . . . . . Oooh! Ooh! I know exactly what it’s like. It’s like a smoothie made out of my life! Yay! (I’m clapping my hands with enthusiasm here.) And Beth Moore thinks she’s quirky! I happen to think she and I were separated at birth. She is ho
