Merrill hasn't been in top condition recently. He had a severe allergic reaction to my fly spray a few days ago, and had thousands of hives on his hips and thighs. We got the fly spray off but he hasn't quite been the same since. His skin is dandruffy and scruffy where his hives were and in some places he is losing hair. He also has a swollen ankle, we think from him kicking at flies when his fly spray was off. Thankfully, he's not lethargic like he was during his reaction. Please pray for his r… Continue

Hi Everyone,
I really need prayer for the horses at my friend's barn. I can't give out very much info, but so far one horse has died and others might also. My friend and her mom also has a slight chance of being infected, so please pray for them too. I might be able to give out more information later, but right now they need lots...and lots...and lots of prayer. Thanks.

Today, January 21st, is Merrill's birthday. This is his first birthday with me owning him, so I wanted to make it special. He enjoyed it- especially the apples and carrots. I also got him a present, but he hasn't opened it yet. It's an apple flavored mineral block to hang in their stall to keep them busy. This Thanksgiving I thought I knew what I would be
thankful for: my horse. Now I have something else to
be thankful for: my horse is alive.
Earlier today I was finishing riding and decided to
set some poles up in the small arena to end a good
ride. The poles are a way from the small arena, and I

On June 28th, at 9:30 AM, I bought my first horse! His name is Merrill, and he's a big Thoroughbred gelding! He's about the color of milk chocolate with a black mane and tail and an arrowhead shaped white marking on his forehead. He is very calm and laid-back and a willing learner, and he will go fast when I ask him to. He's also a great jumper. Thanks for everyone who prayed for me to find the right horse. Merrill was definatly worth the wait.
